23 May 2024, Haryana– Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Anurag Agarwal said that there should be wheelchairs at the polling stations of the state so that PwD voters do not face any kind of problem. Apart from this, adequate arrangements for electricity, drinking water, and protection from the sun should be made at the polling stations, along with the availability of ORS, medical, and paramedical staff.
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Anurag Agarwal said this while holding a review meeting regarding the arrangements for Lok Sabha elections 2024 with the District Election Officers and AROs through video conferencing from Chandigarh late in the evening on Tuesday.

Sh. Agarwal said that during the Lok Sabha elections 2024, there will be two-level webcasting monitoring at polling stations, which includes state control rooms and district control rooms. Apart from this, the Election Commission of India will also monitor through webcasting. If any anti-social elements is found hindering the election process on the polling day, strict action will be taken.
He stated that the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections is scheduled for May 25. In light of this, more vigilance should be exercised at checkpoints to prevent illegal liquor, narcotics, cash, and illegal weapons. Apart from this, monitoring teams formed in districts should become more active.
Sh. Anurag Agarwal said that FST and SST teams in districts should be active and continue the checking campaign 24 hours a day.
The Chief Electoral Officer said that as per the rules of the Election Commission of India, candidates or political parties must obtain a certificate from MCMC before publishing ads in print media on the day of voting and the day before. He said that voting for the Lok Sabha will be held on May 25, so candidates must get a certificate for proposed advertisements on May 24 and May 25 before publishing them in print media. Otherwise, it will be considered a violation of the Model Code of Conduct. He further said that certification must be obtained from MCMC immediately after filing the nomination for broadcasting ads on TV and local cable TV. Advertisements must be submitted to MCMC in the prescribed format two days before the date of printing or broadcasting.
