Uttarakhand, 27 December 2024 – In a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, two roads in Uttarakhand have been renamed. Govindghat-Ghagharia Marg is now Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Marg, and Bidaura Chhevin Patshahi Gate to Dhumkheda has been renamed Sahibzada Fateh Singh Marg.

The renaming ceremony coincided with Bal Veer Diwas, honoring the young martyrs who laid down their lives defending their faith and principles.

Narinder Jeet Singh Bindra, Chairman of the Shri Hemkunt Sahib Managing Trust, thanked the Chief Minister for this gesture, calling it a tribute that preserves the legacy of the Sahibzadas. “Their lives symbolize courage and determination, inspiring countless individuals to uphold their values,” Bindra said.

The Chief Minister also acknowledged their contributions, underlining the significance of their legacy in fostering strength and conviction for generations.
