JALANDHAR, April 11: A surprising development has emerged in the grenade attack case at BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia’s residence. Shadar Ali, who was earlier detained as a suspect, has now been identified as the complainant in a separate mobile theft case, according to sources.
Police had tracked Ali through his mobile and labeled him as the prime suspect in the attack near Jalandhar railway station. He was detained from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh.
This revelation indicates that the actual third accused remains on the run. Meanwhile, Jalandhar police have already invoked the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against those involved.
