Kolkata, 23 August: In the RG Kar Medical College & Hospital rape and murder case, Sanjay Roy, the primary culprit, admitted to the Kolkata police that he had stalked the victim in the chest medicine ward on August 8, the day before the incident.

The 33-year-old civic volunteer is captured on camera glaring at the victim and four other young doctors in the hospital’s chest unit.
“The CCTV footage shows Roy glaring at them,” News18 was informed by insiders.
On August 9, at one o’clock the morning, the victim went to the seminar hall to rest. At 2:30 am, she was speaking with a junior physician in the seminar hall. They had a talk, and then she fell back asleep.
In the morning, her dead body was discovered.
The CCTV footage showed Sanjay Roy coming onto the premises at about four in the morning.
In the meantime, Sanjay Roy’s psychoanalytic profile, carried out by specialists on the CBI’s request, has revealed that he is a serious porn addict and pervert.
His profile also showed that he possesses an “animal-like instinct,” according to a CBI official.
Sanjay Roy did not show any signs of uneasiness or regret when being questioned.
“The man described the entire affair, including every little detail, without faltering and exhibited no feelings of guilt. He didn’t seem to be regretting anything,” the officer told PTI.
Based on CCTV evidence and a Bluetooth headset discovered at the crime scene, Roy was taken into custody.
The victim’s autopsy revealed that she had been sexually assaulted before to her death by strangulation. The body had nine internal and sixteen external injuries.
The father of the woman had claimed that other people were engaged in the crime.
The West Bengal government and police were severely criticized by the Supreme Court on Thursday for the 14-hour delay in filing the first information report.
