Tejashwi Dismisses Talk of Realignment with Nitish Kumar

Patna, March 9 — Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday reacted sharply when asked about the possibility of realigning with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

“Why would we join hands? Why are you trying to divert attention from the real issue?” PTI quoted the former deputy chief minister as saying.

Responding to media speculation that Kumar was uneasy about the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pushing for a leadership change in Bihar, Yadav dismissed any talks of an alliance.

“There is no offer from anybody. In my party, only RJD president Lalu ji and I are authorized to take decisions on alliances. Please do not talk nonsense,” he said at a press conference.

He also criticized Kumar’s public demeanor, stating that the chief minister was “no longer in his senses.”

Referring to past instances where Kumar attempted to touch Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s feet in public, Yadav remarked, “Does this behove a chief minister? The day may not be far when he will be falling at the feet of his two current deputies, Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Choudhary.”
