by TheReportingTimes

Tarn Taran, March 22 — Rupinder Singh, a youth from Deo village in Tarn Taran, died of a heart attack in Calgary, Canada, leaving his family in mourning.

The 30-year-old, who had moved abroad seven months ago after his family spent ₹22 lakh, had only recently secured a job after months of struggle.

Singh, who is survived by his wife Navjot Kaur and a five-year-old daughter, had been unable to find steady work since arriving in Canada.

His sudden death has devastated the family, who are now appealing to the Punjab government and social organizations, including Sarbat Da Bhala Trust, to help bring his body back for the last rites.

His father, Sardul Singh, said the family sold their land to fund Rupinder’s move abroad and urged social workers to assist in repatriating the body.

The family has shared their contact number (8437102563) for those willing to support them.
