Mohali, March 9 – Punjabi music producer Pinky Dhaliwal has been taken into custody following allegations of cheating, forgery, and criminal intimidation made by singer and actress Sunanda Sharma.
In her complaint to Mohali police, Sunanda claimed that Dhaliwal’s music label, Mad4Music, withheld her payments despite earning ₹250 crore from her work over the years. She further alleged that Dhaliwal deceived her by falsely promising marriage to his son, Gurkaran Dhaliwal.
The arrest took place in Sector 70 on Saturday, and a case has been lodged at Mataur police station. Punjab Women’s Commission chairperson Raj Lalli Gill stepped in after Sunanda shared her grievances online and tagged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Addressing the issue on X, the 33-year-old singer stated, “Certain individuals are falsely asserting control over my professional commitments. These claims are misleading and legally unfounded. Anyone attempting to misrepresent their association with me will face legal consequences.”
