Chandigarh, August 23- J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad will establish ‘Satellite Clubs’ to promote space technology, aiming to provide opportunities to the students to work on space technology-related projects and activities. Students will also gain hands-on experience in satellite engineering and technologies.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S. K. Tomar said this during a program organized by the university’s Research and Development Cell in collaboration with the IPR, Innovation, and Incubation, and Startup Division, and the Mathematics Department. The event was held in celebration of the anniversary of the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, as part of ‘National Space Day’. Lectures were organized by the university to mark this occasion.
Nagasaki University, Japan, Prof. Takao Komatsu, and Chairman, Aero Academy of Aviation Science and Management, Delhi, Prof. Dewakar Goel, were invited speakers at the event.
While addressing the program, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tomar said that the university will arrange an educational tour for faculty members to the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), to understand space technology better. He said that this experience will assist the faculty in understanding the latest developments in space engineering and technologies, which they can implement at the university.
He further stated that the university is also working towards arranging internships for students at companies dedicated to space exploration, so they can gain practical experience in satellite technology, thereby enhancing their skills and knowledge in this cutting-edge field. Through this initiative, the university aims to position itself as a leader in space education and research.
Prof. Tomar emphasized that this will not only benefit students and faculty but also contribute to the nation’s growing capabilities in space technology.
Nagasaki University, Japan, Prof. Takao Komatsu, congratulated everyone on National Space Day and elaborated on the Diophantine Frobenius problem in mathematics. Prof. Dewakar Goel delivered a lecture on “Career Opportunities in Civil Aviation”.
