Chandigarh, March 14 — A speeding car rammed into a police checkpoint in Chandigarh’s Sector 31 early Tuesday morning, killing two on-duty policemen and a driver whose documents were being checked.
The accident occurred around 4 AM as police had set up roadblocks ahead of Holi celebrations.
While two policemen were verifying the driver’s documents, another vehicle speeding from Zirakpur towards Chandigarh crashed into them. The impact was fatal, killing all three on the spot.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
