Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi to themselves visit Wayanad to meet flood victims

On August 1, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will visit Wayanad, which has been devastated by landslides, and speak with a number of the affected families, according to reports.

Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were supposed to visit the area on Wednesday morning, but they postponed the trip after learning from the authorities that the unfavorable weather and persistent rain would prevent them from landing.

The two leaders would visit relief camps at the Government Higher Secondary School and St. Joseph UP School, Meppadi, according to sources close to the Congress. They would also go to to Dr. Moopen’s Medical College, Meppadi.
