CHANDIGARH, April 14: — Panjab University will host a national-level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) focused on innovation and entrepreneurship from April 21 to 25.
Organised in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Union Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, the programme will be coordinated by the university’s Technology Enabling Centre (TEC).
According to organisers, the five-day initiative is designed to build the capacities of faculty members working in innovation-led teaching, startup mentoring, incubator operations, and entrepreneurship promotion within higher education institutions.
“The aim is to embed a culture of innovation on campuses by offering focused training, expert-led sessions, and hands-on workshops,” a PU official mentioned.
The programme will feature a motivational talk by Sahil Makkar of PAN on promoting entrepreneurship among students, with an emphasis on strategies that help faculty embed entrepreneurial thinking into the curriculum.
Nitika Mishra Khurana from CAN is scheduled to speak on financial literacy for startups, contributing to the broader theme of developing entrepreneurial ecosystems in academic institutions.
