Jind: A tragic accident has happened in Jind, Haryana. A Scorpio overturned on the highway here, killing two women travelling in the car. The people travelling in the car were returning after visiting Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra, Jammu. On Sunday night, near Bhidtana village on National Highway 152D in Jind, their Scorpio went out of control and overturned and fell into the fields. Two youths travelling in it were injured. The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Supriya and 22-year-old Sushma, residents of Noida. 38-year-old Arjun and 22-year-old Saif, injured in the accident, have been referred to Rohtak PGI for treatment. The post-mortem of the bodies of the deceased is being done.
Arjun, Saif, Supriya and Sushma, residents of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, had gone to visit Mata Vaishno Devi. While returning from Vaishno Devi, their Scorpio went out of control on National Highway 152-D around 9 pm, broke the railing of the highway near Bhidtana and fell into the fields below. All the four Scorpio riders were seriously injured. People nearby informed the highway ambulance. All the four were brought to Jind Civil Hospital by ambulance. Here both the women Sushma and Supriya were declared dead, while Arjun and Saif were referred to Rohtak PGI.
Investigating officer of Ludana Chowki Bijendra Singh said that the car broke the railing and fell down. After the accident, all the four were badly stuck in the car. They were pulled out with great difficulty and taken to the civil hospital. The relatives of the deceased have been informed.
