Neeraj, who is from a tiny village in Haryana, has had an extremely rapid climb to fame. His physical prowess was initially discovered, and it was developed by encouraging coaches and firm resolve. The youthful prodigy showed off his extraordinary potential by making waves in the domestic circuit very quickly.
Neeraj’s career took a dramatic turn in 2016 when he announced his entrance on the international scene by winning a gold medal at the IAAF World U20 Championships. Neeraj, though, shot to prominence in sports following the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. He became an overnight national hero after winning India’s first-ever Olympic gold in athletics with a final throw of 87.58 meters.
Neeraj chose javelin in his early years primarily as a way to control his weight. Since then, he has completed the sport and taken home every medal available in javelin throw, including those from the Summer Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Diamond League, Asian Championships, South Asian Games, and World Championships.
