MHU begins admission process for UG and PG course

Chandigarh, May 16 2024 – Maharana Pratap Horticultural University, Karnal (MHU) has started the admission process for B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture and M.Sc (Hons) Horticulture. Admission to B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture and M.Sc (Hons) Horticulture will be based on merit in a written examination. The last date to apply is June 10.

Sharing information in this regard, Vice Chancellor, MHU, Dr. Suresh K Malhotra said that interested students can apply online for 120 seats of B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture and 10 seats of M.Sc (Hons) Horticulture till June 10. The minimum qualification for admission to 4-year B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture is 50 percent marks for general category students and 47.5 percent marks for SC and PWD category students in 12th class. The Vice Chancellor stated that the written examination will be conducted by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar. Information about the admission process, minimum educational qualification, availability of seats etc. is available on the university website hau.ac.in and admissions.hau.ac.in and mhu.ac.in.

A workshop-based summer school will be organized during the summer vacation to develop creativity and communication related skills among the students of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Through art, music, literary, and other activities, the talent of students will be nurtured in the summer school.

Giving more information in this regard, Vice-Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Prof. Rajbir Singh, said that after the examinations, in the month of June, a summer school will be organized to ensure the all-round development of the students’ personalities. He said that workshops will be organized in the summer school under the guidance of the Dean, Student Welfare Office, by the departments of Music, Visual Arts, English, Journalism and Mass Communication, Center for Life and Soft Skills, and Youth Centre for Skill Development.
