Panchkula, March 27— The Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board has announced extensive preparations for the eight-day Chaitra Navratri festival, starting March 30, with special focus on transportation, security, and devotee comfort.

For the first time, Haryana Roadways will operate five free mini-buses to shuttle devotees between Shri Mansa Mata Singh Dwar and the Mela bus stand. Additional shuttle services will run from Chandigarh Railway Station, ISBT-17, ISBT-43, Kalka, and Zirakpur to improve connectivity.

“In a first-time initiative, ‘Chabeel’ (refreshing drink) arrangements will be made to provide relief from the anticipated hot weather,” said Shrine Board secretary Sharda Prajapati.

Security has also been ramped up, with police personnel and security guards deployed at entry and exit points. Thirteen police checkpoints will be set up across four zones, along with help counters and announcement centres to assist devotees.

To aid elderly, differently-abled, physically weak devotees, and pregnant women, the board will provide free e-rickshaw and lift services within the temple premises. Others can access the lift service for a nominal fee of ₹500.
