KL Rahul shared about the trauma he faced after “Koffee with Karan” controversy

Star player for the Indian cricket team KL Rahul along with his teammate Hardik Pandya appeared on the popular TV show “Koffee with Karan” in 2019, which sparked a major issue around them. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) even chose to suspend them after receiving a great deal of reaction over their remarks on the show. Rahul and Hardik were in Australia as members of the Indian cricket team when the episode aired, but they had to return halfway through because of the incident. In an interview with Nikhil Kamath on his YouTube channel, Rahul discussed the whole situation and stated it left him scarred. The episode also featured Kriti Sannon and Badshah. He went on to say that it had also completely transformed him personally.

KL Rahul discussed about the backlash he received after his appearance on “Koffee with Karan”

“The interview was a different world. That changed me. Completely changed me. I was a very soft-spoken person growing up. Then I played for India and became very confident. People will know I have been in a room of 100 people.

“Now I don’t because that interview scarred me massively.  I was severely traumatized by that interview. Receiving a suspension from the team. I have never received a school suspension or other form of punishment. I was not sure how to deal with it” KL Rahul added.

Along with preparation for the Duldeep Trophy 2024, KL Rahul is also presently aiming to return to the Indian cricket team’s Test squad for the forthcoming series against Bangladesh.

The Lucknow Super Giants’ decision to keep him for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season has also been the subject of much speculation, but as of right now, no confirmation has been given.
