KKR vs LSG Highlights: In a thrilling game, the Lucknow Super Giants defeated the KKR. Rahane and Rinku Singh had outstanding innings for Kolkata as they chased the target, but the team lost by four runs.
The thrilling encounter was won by Lucknow
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lost against the Lucknow Super Giants by four runs, despite skipper Ajinkya Rahane’s half-century and Rinku Singh’s outstanding batting. In 20 overs, Lucknow, batting first, amassed 238 runs at a cost of three wickets. The KKR team’s reaction was limited to 234 runs for seven wickets in the allotted over. Rinku scored an undefeated 38 off 15 balls with six fours and two sixes, while Rahane scored 61 runs off 35 balls with eight fours and two sixes.
Shardul hits, and KKR’s chase falters
Quinton de Kock who was out for 15 runs, was the first wicket that KKR lost in chasing the mark. Rahane and Sunil Narine then shared more than fifty runs for the second wicket. Digvesh Rathi, however, ended this collaboration by firing Narine. After hitting 30 runs off 13 balls, including two sixes and four fours, Narine went back to the pavilion. Despite this, Rahane continued to play and reached his half-century in just 26 balls. It appeared that KKR may reach this enormous goal when Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer were batting, but Shardul dealt KKR a serious setback by dismissing Rahane.
A thrilling conclusion
Following Rahane’s demise, KKR’s innings stalled and they lost wickets to Andre Russell (7), Venkatesh Iyer (45), Ramandeep (1), and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (5). After that, it appeared that KKR would have trouble reaching the goal, but Rinku had a big impact in the last few overs. In the last over, KKR needed 24 runs to win, but they were only able to score 20. Lucknow won this match in its own right in this fashion. Harshit Rana scored 10 runs for KKR and came back undefeated. Avesh Khan, Digvesh Rathi, and Ravi Bishnoi each claimed one wicket for Lucknow, while Akash Deep and Shardul Thakur each claimed two.
