23 January 2025- Actor and voice artist Vijay Vikram Singh, who has been the narrator of the popular reality TV show Bigg Boss for 15 years, has been the target of death threats and abuse on social media. Vijay has now called on fans to stop mistreating him because they think he is Bigg Boss.

In the Bigg Boss 18 finale, Karan Veer Mehra defeated Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal to win Salman Khan’s reality show. During the finale, Rajat was evicted in third place, which caused a stir on social media, with fans criticizing the show’s creators and calling it “fixed.” Now, some fans of influencer Rajat Dalal have been attacking Vijay Vikram Singh on Instagram, thinking he is Bigg Boss.

In one of Vijay’s recent posts, Rajat Dalal’s fans were seen abusing him and his family, even issuing death threats over the influencer’s “unfair eviction.” This prompted the actor and voice artist to turn off the comment section on that post. A fan page of the fitness influencer wrote, “You did wrong with Rajat Dalal; your family and kids will never be happy.” Vijay eventually disabled comments on the post.

Vijay Vikram Singh addressed the matter in a video message in December 2024, making it clear that he is only Bigg Boss’s narrator and not the show’s voice. “Please stop harassing me in the messages and comments section. In Bigg Boss, I simply tell the audience the tasks and timings. The voice that addresses the contestants is unknown to me. I’m not sure if it’s a human or a machine. Therefore, I ask that the audience not mistreat me,” he clarified. After Digvijay Rathee was evicted, he received yet another round of hate mail in spite of his explanation. Vijay responded by posting another video message in which he reiterated the request that people refrain from sending hateful messages. “I am the second voice of Bigg Boss, not the Bigg Boss,” said Singh.

Aside from lending his voice to Bigg Boss, Vijay Vikram Singh has appeared in several web series. He was part of Manoj Bajpayee’s acclaimed series The Family Man (seasons 1 and 2), Kay Kay Menon’s Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, and Kajol’s The Trial.
