Indian Star PV Sindhu dominance over Maldives in Paris Olympics.

In the opening Group M match of the women’s singles badminton competition, star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympian, defeated Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq of the Maldives 21-9, 21-6, to start her quest for a third medal.

Sindhu outplayed the 25-year-old Maldivian badminton player, and the Indian won the match in 29 minutes.

Sindhu aims to become the most successful individual athlete in the history of the Summer Games for India. She became the first female athlete from India to win an Olympic silver medal at the 2016 Rio Games.

She has won one bronze (2020 Tokyo) and one silver (2016 Rio). 

On Wednesday, July 31, Sindhu will now play Kristin Kuuba of Estonia in her second Group M encounter.
