Haryana government on the path of “digital governance”

Chandigarh, August 23 – The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Haryana, in collaboration with the Haryana State Government, successfully conducted a workshop on advanced digital governance tools including CollabFiles, e-Office, GovDrive, and e-Taal at Hotel Mount View, Chandigarh.

The event was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister (PSCM), Sh. V. Umashankar, and Additional Chief Secretary (CRID), as the Chief Guest, and Principal Secretary, Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, as the Guest of Honour.

In his keynote address, Sh. V. Umashankar highlighted the pivotal role of technology in enhancing the efficiency of government operations and urged participants to actively engage with these innovative tools to drive better governance.

The workshop saw the participation of Administrative Secretaries, heads of departments, and IT professionals from Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to leveraging technology for improved governance processes.

The primary objective of the workshop was to offer participants a comprehensive understanding of the secure document-sharing platform ‘CollabFiles,’ the seamless functioning of digital and paperless offices through ‘e-Office,’ and the practical applications of Gov Drive and e-Taal software tools. These sessions aimed to equip attendees with the necessary skills and knowledge to optimize the use of these platforms, thereby streamlining workflows, enhancing transparency, and boosting overall efficiency in government operations.

Deputy Director General (DDG) & State Coordinator, Haryana, Sh. IPS Sethi, and Senior Director, CollabFiles, Government of India, Dr. P. Gayatri, also attended the workshop, providing valuable insights and expertise.
