Chandigarh, 3 January 2025 – Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued instructions for all Deputy Commissioners in Haryana to conduct weekly coordination meetings aimed at improving governance, public service delivery, and law enforcement in the state.
The meetings will include key officials such as the Superintendent of Police (SP) or Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and Jail Superintendent. Their primary focus will be enhancing communication between the district administration and law enforcement to address issues like drug trafficking and public grievances efficiently.
“Strengthening collaboration between law enforcement and district authorities is essential for maintaining law and order and combating challenges like drug abuse. These meetings are a critical step in that direction,” Chief Minister Saini stated.
To ensure effectiveness, Deputy Commissioners have been asked to maintain a record of the discussions and submit a consolidated monthly report to the Chief Secretary’s office via email at cs.coordination@hry.nic.in.
Beyond these meetings, Saini emphasized the importance of direct engagement between officers and the public. District officers are instructed to visit villages at least once a month to address grievances at the grassroots level. “Public participation is a cornerstone of effective governance. Regular visits by officers will bridge gaps and foster trust in the administration,” the Chief Minister highlighted.
The Chief Minister also reiterated earlier directives for district officials, including maintaining regular field visits and conducting night stays in their respective jurisdictions to boost public confidence and strengthen law enforcement.
This initiative reflects the Haryana government’s continued commitment to ensuring effective governance and proactive measures to improve service delivery and law enforcement coordination.
