11 January 2025- ‘Some girls turn men into goats with their ‘tantra-mantra’. Then they can also turn them back into humans and have sex with them under tantric practices.’ Abhishek kar, a financial influencer with 30 lakh followers on Instagram, has been embroiled in controversy by making this claim. He had made this claim about some women of Assam in a podcast, which heated up the controversy. The state Chief Minister’s Office has talked about taking action against him. However, after this controversy, Abhishek came to his senses and apologized with folded hands for his words.
Earlier this week, during a podcast show with entrepreneur Riya Upreti, Abhishek had claimed, ‘Even today, if you go to Assam, there is a place where it is said that there is a village. The girls there have achieved so much siddhis that you go as a human, and they can turn you into a goat or any other animal. And at night they turn you back into a human and have sex with you. Why, because there are a lot of tantric practices there and its route runs from here.’

The CM’s office termed it an ‘unacceptable comment’ on Assam’s history and traditions and said, ‘A video of a YouTube channel named Riya Upreti was seen, in which a person named Abhishek Kar is seen making unacceptable comments on Assam’s history and traditions. Appropriate action can be taken against that person for spreading misinformation.’
State Director General of Police GP Singh responded to the CMO’s post within minutes, saying, ‘Noted sir. Legal action will be taken.’
Fearing police action against himself, Abhishek Kar finally realized his mistake. He posted a video responding to Assam CMO’s post on X. In this, he apologized for his mistake and said that he has asked the podcaster to remove the clip, which angered people.
Abhishek said in his video, ‘I apologize to the people of Assam, CMO, GP Singh and every concerned party who have been hurt. (My) intention was not to hurt anyone and I will ensure that such incidents do not happen again.’
In the video, Abhishek can also be heard saying that he will be more careful while relying on other sources of data before speaking on public platforms.
Abhishek Kar is a well-known financial influencer or ‘finfluencer’, who often discusses topics related to investment and startups on various podcasts. His YouTube channel has around 20 lakh subscribers, while his Instagram account has around 30 lakh followers.
