Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Fazilka Senu Duggal , District Sports Officer Fazilka Gurpreet Singh Bajwa said that the district and police administration are keeping the youth away from drugs and connecting them with sports.
Under this series, Handball sports competitions were organized in Government Senior School (Boys), Abohar, to keep the players and youth away from drug addiction and its ill effects. Players of Under 17 and Under 19 age groups participated in these sports competitions.
In the under-17 age group, Government Senior Secondary School, Abohar stood first and Government Senior Secondary School, Ramsara stood second. In the Under-19 age group, Government Senior Secondary School, Ramsara stood first and Government Senior Secondary School, Abohar stood second. Apart from this, the coaches also gave suggestions to the players to get more involved in sports and develop inclination towards sports so that the youth can be kept away from bad habits like drugs
