Gidderbaha, April 13: Gidderbaha police arrested three persons, including a father-son duo, after a youth allegedly died of a drug overdose on Friday.
The deceased, Parveen Kumar of Chughe Kala village in Bathinda, was found gasping on the stairs of his uncle’s shop near the Gidderbaha bus stand, according to a police complaint filed by his uncle Ved Parkash.
“Parveen told me that Jasvir Singh and his father Jagjit Singh, residents of Ward 5, had administered some drug to him. He also mentioned that Gurpreet Singh of Lulbai Road had done the same on earlier occasions,” Ved Parkash alleged.
Following the complaint, police registered a case and arrested all three accused. The investigation is ongoing.
