Washington, March 25 — Facebook and Instagram users across the US faced major disruptions on Tuesday, with many unable to access core features or even log in.
According to Downdetector, an independent outage tracking website, complaints began around 9 a.m. ET. Users reported being unable to view comments on stories and photos, despite receiving notifications. Some said comments briefly appeared but vanished when clicked.
“Many Facebook users are unable to log in, while Instagram users can’t see or interact with comments,” Downdetector noted.
The cause of the outage remains unclear, and there is no timeline for when the platforms will be fully restored. Meta has yet to issue an official statement, leaving users frustrated as the glitch continues.
