Excise policy case: Court extends judicial custody of Manish Sisodia

May 7, 2024, DELHI– Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia till May 15 in the CBI case related to the excise policy matter. The court has fixed May 15 as the next hearing date in the case.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Dutta is currently hearing a petition challenging the March 21 arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the liquor policy case. During the hearing of the case, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) SV Raju said that when the ED started its investigation, its investigation was not directly against Kejriwal.
