“Kejriwal was cursed by Yamuna,” said Manoj Tiwari
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, who has headed the party’s Delhi unit in the past, said the Arvind Kejriwal-led party is being punished for their “inaction and corruption”.
“The BJP is way ahead in the early trends, but we will wait for results. I believe that we will have an even better tally than this. I need not say much today; it is clear that the people of Delhi have accepted Modi ji’s guarantees,” said the singer-tuned-politician.
He added that Kejriwal was cursed by Yamuna, in a jab at the AAP’s lack of fulfilment of the 2020 poll promise of cleaning up the river. He said the BJP government will ensure a cleaner Yamuna within three years. The Yamuna river holds great significance for the Purvanchali community, which is a sizeable portion of Delhi’s voters and to which the politician belongs.
