Dr. Rustom who delivered almost all the Kapoor kids passed away

Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, one of Bollywood’s most beloved couples, brought their first child into the world in 2016. Their son, whom they named Taimur Ali Khan, was a blessing. Although his name, which Saif later said means “iron,” generated a lot of attention, another fascinating element that garnered media attention was the doctor who delivered Tim. This is due to the fact that Taimur’s mother, Kareena, was also delivered by the same doctor. Dr. Rustom Soonawala, a favorite of many Bollywood families, passed away on Sunday, January 5, at the age of 95.

Dr. Rustom, who received a Padma Shri award in 1991, died after a lengthy illness. Not only did Dr. Rustom give birth to Taimur and Kareena, but he also gave birth to Kareena’s actor sister Karisma Kapoor in 1974, before delivering Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor’s son, Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, in 1982. Dr. Rustom invented the polyethylene IUD in the 1960s, a birth control device that proved to be a safe substitute for earlier methods.

The list doesn’t end there because, like Bebo and Taimur, Ranbir and his daughter have the same docter. Raha Kapoor, the internet and paparazzi’s new favorite star kid, was born in 2022 as Alia Bhatt and Ranbir’s adorable daughter. Well, Raha was also delivered by Dr. Rustom. In contrast, Dr. Feroze Soonawala, a well-known gynecologist and the son of Dr. Rustom, gave birth to Kareena and Saif’s younger son Jehangir Ali Khan, also known as Jeh.
