Dense Fog Halts Flight Operations at Srinagar Airport

SRINAGAR, 3 January 2025: Dense fog disrupted flight operations at Srinagar International Airport on Friday morning, officials said, as poor visibility forced all scheduled flights to be delayed.

Javed Anjum, Director of Srinagar Airport, confirmed the disruption, stating, “Flight operations are currently on hold due to extremely low visibility caused by dense fog. Operations will resume once visibility improves. We are optimistic flights may land and depart by afternoon or in a few hours.”

The fog, which blanketed the Kashmir Valley since early morning, caused significant commuting challenges for residents, further adding to travel woes.
