DARPG Delegation Evaluates Service Delivery in Haryana

Chandigarh, 28 December 2024: A delegation led by V. Srinivas, Secretary of the Department of Central Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), visited several Haryana offices to evaluate the implementation of the Right to Services Act. The team, which included Joint Secretary Sarita Chauhan, Director Suvashis Das, and Deputy Secretary H.K. Bhatt, inspected service delivery across various government departments.

The delegation focused on the Haryana Urban Development Authority, Haryana DISCOM, and the Antyodaya Saral Call Centre, where they observed procedures for service delivery and interacted with citizens via video call.

Under Chief Commissioner T.C. Gupta’s leadership, the Haryana Right to Services Commission has introduced crucial reforms, such as digitizing 801 services, integrating call centers, and implementing an auto appeal system to improve efficiency. Offices now prominently display service time limits, ensuring transparency in service provision.

Srinivas’s team also provided insights into the Central Government’s CPGRM programme, highlighting its effectiveness in resolving public grievances. The delegation assured support for the Haryana Commission, including funding for training Grievance Redressal Officers.

The visit ended with meetings with the Chief Secretary and Chief Minister of Haryana, where Srinivas discussed new initiatives from the Prime Minister and offered full support for their adoption in the state.
