Hoshiarpur, April 4: A couple died after their motorcycle was hit by a car on the Hoshiarpur-Tanda road near Nanowal Vaid village on Friday, according to police.
The victims, identified as Harjinder Singh, 37, and his wife Rekha, 35, were turning toward a petrol pump when the accident occurred. “They were trying to take a turn when a car coming from the opposite direction hit them,” said ASI Ranjit Singh of Bullowal police station.
Both suffered critical injuries and died on the way to the hospital.
The couple were residents of Muradpur Naryal village. A police investigation into the collision is ongoing.
