Sanjay Raut wants INDI alliance to be maintained

Mumbai, 14 January 2025- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has made a big statement about the INDI alliance. He said that even though it was formed for the Lok Sabha elections, it should be maintained.

Referring to the NDA era, Raut said that Congress should also show a big heart like the BJP. He also gave advice to the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress regarding the Delhi elections.

This statement of Sanjay Raut has come after Omar Abdullah expressed displeasure over the INDI alliance. Abdullah had said that if INDI was formed only for the Lok Sabha elections, then it should be ended now.

Sanjay Raut said that the INDI alliance should definitely remain intact. He said that ‘If we do not keep it alive, the opposition will not survive. These people will finish the opposition. These are dictators. Dangerous people are in front of us.’

Sanjay Raut expressed his views on INDI alliance

On the assembly elections being held in Delhi, Sanjay Raut said that ‘Both the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress feel that they have strength in Delhi. Both fought together in the Lok Sabha elections, but could not win a single seat.’

He said that ‘In Maharashtra also we have said that the local body elections are the elections of workers. It is difficult for us to form an alliance there. But we will definitely have an alliance in the Lok Sabha and the Assembly.’

Sanjay Raut further said that ‘Different parties have different ideologies. When we all come together for democracy, country and people, everyone has to compromise on something.’

Sharing his experience of being in the NDA, Sanjay Raut said that ‘BJP is a big party. When we were in the NDA, BJP, being the elder brother, used to move forward by taking care of everyone. Similarly, Congress is the big party here. It should be the responsibility of Congress to take us all together.’

Raut said that ‘Discussions should be held continuously. If there is no discussion, then no group or alliance will be able to last long.’
