3 August, Bhiwani: According to Finance Minister of Haryana, Jai Prakash Dalal, the state would receive compensation for damage to kharif crops in 2023 totaling approximately Rs 150 crore by August 15.
Speaking to reporters in Siwani town of Bhiwani district, today, the minister stated that the government was in the process of disbursing the compensation. He assured farmers they had nothing to worry about because the federal and state governments were on their side, saying, “The amount of crop compensation will be deposited in the account of the affected farmers as soon as possible.”
Dalal contacted the branch manager of a nearby Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank branch and scolded a manager for the bank’s sanctioned loan’s delay in being released. The issue was discovered after a complainant claimed that he had sought for and been approved for a Rs 98,000 loan at a nearby bank branch for the purpose of raising sheep and goats. He said that the loan included a 90% subsidy. In addition, he claimed to have purchased sixteen goats; nevertheless, despite his repeated visits to the bank, he claimed that the manager had not yet deposited the loan amount into his account. The minister declared that authorities who harassed citizens would face consequences from the government.
“The government will take strict action against any bank official, or employee found engaging in corruption related to loans and benefits from government welfare schemes.” These programs have been implemented by the government to help low-income families,” he stated.
