Shimla, March 22— The weather in Himachal Pradesh is expected to remain clear across most parts of the state until March 26, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). However, light rain or snowfall may occur in high-altitude areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, Kangra, and Kullu.
Following last week’s snowfall, tourist destinations have witnessed a surge in visitors.
Large crowds from the plains are flocking to Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti, with popular spots like Solang Nala, Koksar, Atal Tunnel, and Hamta Pass drawing significant footfall.
The IMD mentioned that the state’s minimum temperature will remain stable for the next two days before rising by 3-4 degrees Celsius over the following 3-4 days.
The maximum temperature is also expected to climb by 2-4 degrees, bringing warmer conditions across the region.
The snow-covered mountains in the higher altitudes are likely to retain their snowcap for the next two weeks, attracting more tourists seeking scenic winter views.
