Panchkula, March 18 — Police arrested four people, including two juveniles, for allegedly stealing ₹24,000 in cash from a parked Toyota Fortuner in Sector 6 on Sunday. The stolen money was recovered within two hours of the complaint, officials said.

According to police, Ankur Bansal, a government contractor from Sector 21, reported the theft after finding the glove compartment of his unlocked car open and the cash missing. “I had parked my car in Sector 6 and left ₹24,000 inside. When I returned, the money was gone,” Bansal told police.

Acting on the complaint, Sector 7 police station registered a theft case and a team led by Sector-6 police post in-charge sub-inspector Rajesh launched an investigation. Within two hours, police apprehended the suspects, including two juveniles, aged 11 and 12. The other two accused were identified as Govinda from Indira Colony and Pankaj from Rajiv Colony.

The stolen cash was recovered from Govinda and Pankaj, who were produced in court and sent to judicial custody. The juveniles were presented before the Juvenile Justice Board and later sent to the Ambala Juvenile Home.

“We acted swiftly and managed to recover the entire amount,” said a police spokesperson.
