In Budget 2025, custom duty on parts, camera modules, connectors, raw materials of wired headsets, microphones and receivers, USB cables, fingerprint readers, mobile phone sensors has been abolished. Custom duty on interactive flat panel display has been increased to 20%, although duty has been removed from LCD-LED TV open cells and components. Now premium TVs will be expensive but LCD and LED TVs will be cheaper.

The government has decided to exempt cobalt powder, lithium-ion battery scrap, lead, zinc and other 12 important minerals from Basic Customs Duty (BCD).
