BSF, Police Recover Pistols, Magazines Near Amritsar Border

by TheReportingTimes

Amritsar, April 18: BSF and Punjab Police recovered six pistols and 14 magazines during a joint operation in the fields of Mahawa village along the Amritsar border.

Acting on advance information, the forces launched a coordinated search in the border area.

Officials said the weapons were found inside a large packet hidden in harvested crops. The packet, wrapped in yellow tape, had a wire and ring attached to it—suggesting it may have been dropped via drone.

BSF officials said that due to the alertness of the personnel deployed at the border and their swift action, this attempt to smuggle weapons from the Pakistani side could not succeed.
