KATHUA – The bodies of three missing persons, including a teenager, were found in the upper hills of Billawar, Kathua, on Saturday, nearly 60 hours after they disappeared.
According to reports, the trio from Lohai Malhar had left home around 8:30 p.m. on March 6 to attend a wedding in the locality but never returned.
A search operation using drones led to the discovery of their bodies in a water channel in the upper reaches.
The deceased were identified as Jogesh Singh (35) from Marhoon village, Darshan Singh (40) from Dehota village, and Baroon Singh (14) from Dehota in Billawar Tehsil. Forces later retrieved the bodies.
While authorities have ruled out a terror link, police have launched an investigation into the incident.
