BJP’s Haryana govt stopping water supply to Delhi, we’ll approach Supreme Court: Atishi

22 May, New Delhi, 2024 – Delhi Water Minister Atishi on wednesday accused the BJP of stopping Yamuna water supply to the national capital through the Haryana government.

The senior AAP leader said the Yamuna water level has dropped to 671 ft from 674 ft on May 11.

Atishi allleged that BJP is stopping water to Delhi as part of a conspiracy, Atishi said the AAP government will write to the Haryana government and, if it does not take any action, will approach the Supreme Court.

“It has never happened in the history of Delhi that the water level dropped below 671 ft. It should be at 674 ft at Wazirabad… Water scarcity is being faced in places where there never was a water shortage problem,” she quoted.
