Panchkula, April 6:— Marking a significant shift in its political landscape, the Haryana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday relocated its state headquarters from Rohtak to Panchkula after nearly 35 years. The move coincided with the party’s Foundation Day celebrations.

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini and state BJP president Mohan Lal Baroli inaugurated the new office at the Panch Kamal Complex by performing a ceremonial havan and puja.

Alongside the inauguration, the Atal Auditorium was formally opened, while the foundation stones of Atal Park and Atal Chowk were laid in memory of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

“Through Panch Kamal, we will give new momentum to the party’s programmes,” said CM Saini while addressing party workers at the new headquarters.

Remembering Vajpayee’s contribution, Saini said, “Atal Park stands as a tribute to his work and legacy.”

He also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s description of the BJP as a banyan tree.

“Many generations have taken shade under this tree. It continues to grow and nurture the nation,” he said.

Saini noted that the BJP-led government in Haryana has been running uninterrupted for the past three years and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to development in alliance with the NDA.

“If anyone chose to leave BJP, that was their decision. We haven’t turned our backs on anyone,” Saini told the gathering, aimed at boosting morale among workers at the new headquarters.

Several senior leaders, office-bearers, and party workers attended the event.
