The highest-paid worker in the world is now an Indian CEO. The executive reportedly earns approximately Rs 48 crore every day, with an annual payment of Rs 17,500 crore. He is Jagdeep Singh, the founder of Quantumscape and the former CEO of the business.

business news live: His LinkedIn profile states that he earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business after earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Maryland. Additionally, he graduated from Stanford University with a master’s degree in computer science.

He began his career working for a number of organizations, such as Sun Microsystems and HP. He established AirSoft in 1992 and another business in 1998. In 2014, he founded QuantumScape after serving as the founder and CEO of several prior businesses. He is currently the CEO of Secret Startup.

For startups, it’s a deliberate stage to keep the public at bay or to protect their brand from rivals.

In February 2024, Jagdeep Singh resigned his role as CEO of Quantumscape to Siva Sivaram. He still serves on the board of the company, nevertheless.

Under Singh’s direction, Quantumscape expanded quickly which resulted in his impressive salary package, which reportedly included stock options worth up to $2.3 billion.
