Amritpal Singh wants to attend Lok Sabha sessions

Chandigarh, 23 January 2025- MP Amritpal Singh has sought permission to attend the Lok Sabha session. The Khadoor Sahib MP has filed a petition in the High Court in this regard.

In the petition, he has sought permission to attend the parliamentary session citing Articles 14, 19 and 21 of the Constitution. Amritpal Singh says that he is the public representative of 19 lakh people and ensuring his presence in the parliamentary session is part of his rights and duties.

Amritpal’s lawyer Hakam Singh said that today we have filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on behalf of Amritpal. He has received a letter to attend the proceedings of the Lok Sabha and for this he has written a letter to the District Magistrate Amritsar seeking permission, but there was no response on it. We have filed a petition to allow him to raise the issues of Khadoor Sahib in the Lok Sabha. We hope that it will be heard by Monday.
