Delhi, 11 January 2025- There is an election atmosphere in the country’s capital Delhi these days. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is struggling to come to power for the fourth consecutive time. On the other hand, the opposition parties are trying to end the drought.
Amidst all this election activity, a bad news has come out for AAP. The party MLA from Rithala, Mahendra Goyal, may face more trouble in the case of giving shelter to illegal Bangladeshis in Delhi. Delhi Police has issued a notice to him and summoned him for questioning. The documents recovered from the illegal Bangladeshis have the signature of MLA Mahendra Goyal. His name is also stamped on them. Now the police will question him in this matter.

In fact, the police in the national capital Delhi has started a special campaign against illegal Bangladeshis. Under this, Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in Delhi are being identified and sent back to their country. In one such case, Delhi Police identified some illegal Bangladeshis. When their documents were scrutinized, the signature and seal of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mahendra Goyal from Rithala was found on it. Taking immediate action in this matter, Delhi Police has issued a notice to MLA Mahendra Goyal and summoned him for questioning on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Rithala, Mahendra Goyal has a long history of controversies. Last year, Shahbad Dairy police station had registered a case against Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mahendra Goyal under sections of abuse, obstruction in government work and threat to kill on the complaint of a licensing inspector working in MCD Narela Zone.
Delhi Police has intensified the campaign to catch Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in Delhi. A few days ago, the Central District Police caught 9 Bangladeshi citizens living illegally and handed over the list to FRRO to send them back to Bangladesh. These Bangladeshis were kept in the detention center for Bangladeshi citizens located in Sarai Rohilla. In the new year, between 1 and 5 January, the district police conducted a special campaign and caught these Bangladeshis.
