Panchkula, April 19: Three unidentified assailants fled with a two-wheeler after assaulting a man in Panchkula’s Sector 5 on April 17, police said.
The incident took place around Circle Park near Azure Hotel, as Pradeep Kumar, who runs an electricity shop in Baltana, was on his way to work. In his complaint, Kumar told police that the attackers intercepted him near gate number 2 of Shalimar Ground.
“One of them grabbed my helmet while I was still trying to assess what was happening,” Kumar said. “I took the keys out quickly, but they punched me and pushed me to the ground.”
Despite his attempt to stop them, the trio forcibly took the keys and fled with his two-wheeler, heading toward the Sector-6 traffic light point.
Kumar immediately called the police helpline 112. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after and began collecting details to identify the suspects.
“We’ve registered a case under Section 304 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and initiated a probe,” an officer from the Sector-5 police station said.
No arrests had been made at the time of reporting.
