Punjab Kings defeated RCB by five wickets to win for the second time in a row because to Nehal Wadhera’s brilliant batting.Because of the weather, the RCB vs. Punjab match started late. Punjab falters as Nehal Wadhera’s 33 shines
With three fours and three sixes, Nehal Wadhera hit an undefeated 33 runs off 19 balls for Punjab. For RCB, Josh Hazlewood claimed three wickets, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed two. Punjab also had a poor start and lost two wickets for 32 runs while pursuing the mark. After Priyansh Arya scored 16 runs and Prabhsimran Singh scored 13, they both went back to the pavilion. The squad also lost skipper Shreyas Iyer, who was out after scoring seven runs, when Punjab’s score surpassed fifty.
RCB drops to fourth place in the points table after Punjab’s victory
Hazlewood dismissed Josh Inglis immediately after Shreyas was dismissed, and the 14-run scorer went back to the pavilion. After that, Nehal Wadhera made some excellent shots and helped the side get closer to winning, but Punjab also lost Shashank Singh, who took the fifth wicket. After scoring one run, Shashank was out. The game appeared to be going to be thrilling until Marcus Stoinis, the new batsman, smashed a six to give the team the win. Stoinis scored seven runs off two balls and came back undefeated.
Punjab’s team is now in second place in the standings after their victory. After seven games, they have five victories, two defeats, and 10 points. With four victories and eight points, RCB is currently in fourth place after suffering their third defeat in seven games.
