by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, April 11 —With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to visit Haryana on April 14, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will present a six-month progress report of his government at two massive public rallies in Yamunanagar and Hisar.

The visit coincides with Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary and marks Modi’s first tour of the state following the BJP’s historic third-term victory in the October 2024 Assembly elections.

Sworn in for a second term on October 17, Saini will complete six months in office on April 17. His performance report, to be presented in the presence of Modi and top BJP leaders, will highlight key developmental initiatives launched under the state’s “triple engine” governance model.

“Pro-people policies for women, farmers, youth and the poor will be shared with the public by CM Saini as PM Modi inaugurates two landmark projects,” said BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli.

Modi will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW power unit at the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant (DCRTPP) in Yamunanagar, a Rs 7,272 crore investment to boost the state’s power generation capacity. He will also inaugurate the Hisar airport, aimed at enhancing regional air connectivity.

The Yamunanagar rally will draw crowds from 12 districts, while the Hisar gathering is expected to attract residents from 15 districts.

CM Saini’s report will include achievements such as a Rs 5,000 crore allocation for the ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana’, under which Rs 2,100 is offered to eligible girls, the Har Ghar Grihini Yojana providing gas cylinders at Rs 500 to 15 lakh families, and the provision of over 25,000 jobs without political interference.

Additional highlights include free dialysis for kidney patients, regularisation of land rights for long-term occupants, and the announcement of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for 24 crops.

Saini has maintained that his government fulfilled 18 election promises within its first 100 days, and work is underway to deliver on 10 more.
