Kharar, April 9 — A man from Sunny Enclave, Jaswinder, died after his brother-in-law allegedly rammed his car into the vehicle Jaswinder was travelling in, near the Gaushala in Mundi Kharar on the Kharar-Chandigarh road.
Police identified the accused as Bhanu Pratap. The incident unfolded after Jaswinder arrived at his sister’s house to pick up their mother. Upon seeing his sister and brother-in-law leaving the house, he followed them at his mother’s request to defuse the situation.
However, a collision occurred during the pursuit, which police suspect was intentional. “We have launched an investigation into the matter and are recording statements,” an officer said.
The incident appears to be linked to a domestic dispute, and police are probing the exact sequence of events leading to the fatal crash.
