Chandigarh, March 25: AAP senior leader and newly appointed Punjab in-charge, Manish Sisodia, met Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at the latter’s residence on Monday evening to discuss the government’s policies and programmes.
Sisodia, who arrived in Chandigarh the previous evening, received a rousing welcome from party leaders. At the airport, he noted the AAP government’s achievements over the past three years, stressing its commitment to eradicating drugs, accelerating development, and fulfilling promises made to the people.
Expressing gratitude to AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal for entrusting him with overseeing Punjab’s progress, Sisodia praised Mann’s leadership for clearing the “mess left by previous administrations” and steering Punjab toward rapid growth.
He claimed that the Mann-led government had achieved in one month what previous governments couldn’t accomplish in decades. Sisodia credited the administration with making significant strides in tackling Punjab’s drug problem, adding that making the state drug-free remained the government’s top priority.
He also cited improvements in education, health, and employment sectors, describing the recent surge in rapid decision-making as a reflection of AAP’s commitment to public welfare.
“As Punjab’s in-charge, it is my responsibility to ensure that every promise made by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann is fulfilled. Punjab deserves good governance, and AAP is committed to providing a transparent, accountable, and people-centric administration,” Sisodia said.
He reassured Punjab’s people that the government would continue prioritising education, healthcare, and infrastructure while combating corruption and delivering on its drug-free Punjab pledge.
