Pandher Announces Plan On Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Birth Anniversary

by TheReportingTimes

Shambhu Border, 1 January 2025: Farmers’ unions, led by Sarwan Singh Pandher, have announced plans to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at the Shambhu border on January 6. This decision comes as their agitation intensifies, with Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s fast unto death reaching its 37th day.

During a meeting, farmer leaders called on the Punjab government to dismiss the agricultural marketing policy introduced during the winter session and adopt resolutions supporting their 13 key demands. “We will continue our movement until every demand is addressed,” one leader stated.

Dallewal’s health has severely deteriorated, with his blood pressure falling to a dangerous 76/44 late Tuesday night, shared farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar. The worsening situation has drawn significant daily crowds expressing solidarity with the protest.

On January 4, a Mahapanchayat will be held to strategize the next steps in the ongoing struggle.
