Amritsar, December 29, 2024: Former Sri Darbar Sahib Head Granthi, Giani Jaswinder Singh, expressed deep sorrow over the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Speaking at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, he hailed Dr. Singh’s unwavering dedication to Punjab, commending him as a fair and honest leader whose contributions would always be remembered.
Reflecting on Dr. Singh’s visit to Sri Darbar Sahib as Prime Minister, Jaswinder Singh recalled their first meeting within the sanctum sanctorum during his duties as Head Granthi.
He described the late leader as a humble and selfless individual, emphasizing his remarkable service to Punjab and the nation. “Dr. Manmohan Singh always prioritized public welfare over personal interests and led with integrity. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on in the hearts of countless people,” he remarked.
